Project Co-ordinator

ShetlandPeerieMakkers SCIO requires a co-ordinator to facilitate the passing on of Shetland knitting skills from volunteer tutors to young people in Shetland.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Support volunteers; liase with trustees and interested parties

  • Administrative duties including organising PVG’s and CPT requirements

  • Social media and public relations

  • Visiting groups in session and maintaining equipment levels

The ideal candidate should have an interest in traditional knitting skills, be an organised individual able to work on their own initiative with good communication skills. Driving licence and own transport essential.

The period of supply of the services would run from 31st October 2025 to 30 June 2026 with an option for renewal subject to agreement.
